Ariane Petyt
Owner and French Tutor
Ariane is a dual citizen of France and the United States and has experience teaching and tutoring children aged 1-14 and adults of all levels. She has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and after a successful career in Europe in Marketing Research has discovered a passion for teaching her native language. She moved to Chicago and worked as a French teacher for children, and also tutored children and adults of all levels from beginners to more advanced learners.
It became her mission to help her students overcome their bashfulness when speaking a foreign language and help them understand the most difficult aspects of the French language.
Sarah Antrim-Cambium
Spanish Tutor
Sarah completed her Master’s course work in translation and interpretation at La Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, México in 1995. Since then she has worked as a teacher, bi-lingual administrator, course author and subject matter expert in traditional districts and in a state-wide online program. She is an avid adventure traveler and devotes much of her time to working with the indigenous peoples of the Bocas del Toro province in northern Panamá. Sarah especially enjoys working with individuals and small groups to help them realize their learning goals. She believes passionately that language acquisition and a curious mind are the keys to developing better world citizenship. Sarah’s students so far have ranged in age from 4 to 90.

Armel Yver
French Tutor
Armel is a dual citizen of France and Switzerland, and has experience tutoring teenagers and adults, as well as teaching at the college level. He has also worked with young children, ages 6 to 13, in various associations and non-profit organizations. He has been living in Chicago for the past two years and is doing a PhD at the University of Illinois at Chicago, while at the same time pursuing his activity as a French tutor. He has a passion for the French language and the culture of his native country, and enjoys teaching both of them to students eager to learn.
Emma Pope
Spanish Tutor
Emma has received a bilingual education and learned Spanish at a young age. She later minored in Hispanic Studies and has lived in various Latin American countries. She worked and taught exclusively in Spanish in the Dominican Republic, where she coached and tutored groups of children. She has also worked with American students on their Spanish curriculum. As a paraprofessional at a school for students with special needs, she focused on meeting each student's individual needs and worked with them to help them succeed in a classroom environment.
